Send SMS via Gmail!

Gmail labs has now come out with its new and latest feature where in you can send messages or text your friends right from your Gmail account in Chat.

To get this feature enabled just got to Labs from your settings page or just click the green Erlenmeyer flask icon just before the settings link (on the top). From there, navigate downwards and head towards “Text Messaging (SMS) in Chat” feature and enable it. Once enabled you can send (and receive) text messages via the embedded chat in Gmail website.
